Travel Information

Visa

To enter the People's Republic of China you will need a visa. Obtaining a visa to visit China is usually a simple process at the embassy or consulate in your respective country.

To obtain a visa you will need a valid passport which must have at least six (6) months until expiration and at least one blank visa page in it. The processing of your visa usually needs one week. In some countries, it is not necessary to go to the embassy by yourself, so you can hand over this task to your travel agency. Should you be required to produce an invitation letter to have your visa application, please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with this.

Border Control

After arrival, you have to pass three controls: The medical (health) control, the passport control, and the customs. Usually in the end of your flight travel, the flight attendant will hand you over three corresponding forms.

After arrival, you have to hand over the health form to the first control. The form mainly asks about infectious respiratory diseases. While passing the checkpoint, your body temperature will be measured by means of an infrared camera.

The passport control is just a walk-through; the Chinese visa contains an OCR code which will be scanned.

After fetching your luggage, you proceed to the exit. If you have nothing to declare, you can choose the green channel at the customs. Just hand over the signed form to the officer. Detailed customs regulations can be found here: http://www.china.org.cn/english/travel/40371.htm
