Poon, Andrew W.

Dr. Andrew W. Poon joined the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as an assistant professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in June 2001, upon his graduation from Yale University. He currently supervises a number of research students with the Photonics Device Laboratory at the HKUST. His research focuses on the design, fabrication, and characterization of microresonator-based passive and active devices on silicon chips for optical communications.
