He, Guang S.Guang S. He is a senior scientist and research professor working in the Institute for Lasers, Photonics and Biophotonics, State University of New York at Buffalo. His research interests have been focused on laser physics, nonlinear optics, and quantum electronics. His major research achievements include: (1) The discovery of stimulated Kerr scattering and stimulated Rayleigh-Bragg scattering; (2) New method of optical phase-conjugation based on backward stimulated emission (lasing); (3) Multi (2,3, and 4)-photon pumped and frequency-upconversion lasing, (4) Multi-photon-absorption based optical limiting and stabilization; (5) New technique of degenerate two-photon absorption spectral measurement using white-light continuum generation. He has published more than one hundred thirty papers and co-authored 5 books, including the recent monograph entitled “Physics of Nonlinear Optics” (World Scientific, 2000).
He’s invited talk title: “Multi-photon active materials and applications”
