Haus, Joseph W.

Joseph W. Haus is Director of the Electro-Optics Program at the University of Dayton, a position he's held since 1999. Before that he was a professor of Physics for 15 years at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and he held positions in Germany at the Kernforschungsanlage in Juelich and at the University of Essen, and in Huntsville, AL at the U.S. Army Missile Command. His research is devoted to nonlinear and quantum optics in heterogeneous systems including photonic crystals and core-shell structured nanoparticles. He is a fellow of the Optical Society of America and the SPIE.
